U.S. Marine Corps

Tyler grew up in Harrison City, Pennsylvania. An athlete from a young age, he loved playing baseball, basketball, and other sports. He was known for his sharp sense of humor and fierce competitive spirit. At 17, he enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps through the Delayed Entry Program and entered boot camp shortly after graduating from Penn-Trafford High School in 2011.

He was stationed at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, and over the course of 11 years of service, he deployed multiple times—to Greece, Italy, Bulgaria, the Red Sea, and the North Atlantic. Rising through the ranks, he served as section chief of his artillery unit and later as platoon sergeant for 1st Platoon, Fox Battery, 2nd Battalion, 10th Marines.

Tyler died on March 21, 2022, while proudly serving his country. His legacy lives on through his wife, Bethany; his extended family; friends; and fellow Marines.
