Bobby grew up in Aliquippa, Pennsylvania, and played varsity baseball at Center High School. He loved spending time outdoors, especially fishing and camping. After graduating in 2000, he worked various jobs before enlisting in the U.S. Army in 2004.

He trained as an infantryman at Fort Benning, Georgia, and was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 12th Infantry Regiment at Fort Hood, Texas. In June 2007, he transferred to the 1st Battalion, 22nd Infantry Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division at Fort Carson, Colorado. He deployed to Iraq in 2008 and to Afghanistan in 2010. On February 21, 2011, Bobby unexpectedly passed away from an illness while deployed in Afghanistan.

Bobby’s legacy lives on through his wife, Brittany, and the many family members, friends, and fellow service members whose lives he touched.
