Jason was from Export, Pennsylvania. He graduated from Kiski Area High School in 2013 with a certification in machining. He loved working on his Corvette, riding dirt bikes, and shooting. Most of all, he was a devoted husband and father who cherished time with his family.

In 2014, he enlisted in the U.S. Army and was assigned to the 101st Airborne Division at Fort Campbell, Kentucky. He deployed to Iraq in 2016 for eight months. The following year, he transferred to the 1st Battalion, 38th Infantry Regiment, 1st Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division at Fort Carson, Colorado. In April 2018, he deployed to Afghanistan as an up-armored vehicle gunner with Attack Company. He was injured in an IED attack in Ghazni Province and evacuated to Landstuhl, Germany, where he died five days later, on December 2, 2018.

His legacy lives on through his wife, Lillie; his sons, Jett Isaac and Jason James; and the many family members, friends, and fellow service members whose lives he touched.
