Overview
Join Legacies Alive for the 2024 Marine Corps Marathon in Washington, D.C. on October 27th. Legacies Alive will offer two bib options to be a part of this iconic day:
As part of the Legacies Alive team, runners will commit to certain minimum fundraising amounts based on which bib option chosen. Donating to Legacies Alive helps support projects and events designed to honor the legacy of service members who gave their all to our nation. 98.2% of our proceeds goes directly to conducting Legacy Challenges, building Legacy Projects or supporting Gold Star families. The term “Gold Star” describes a family member who has lost a loved one in military service.
Fundraising Amounts
Once participants register to run with Legacies Alive and are approved, they will be able to set up a donation page with Haku to start raising money for Legacies Alive. All committed funds must be raised in full by 11:59 p.m. EST on race day. If committed funds are not raised by the deadline, runners are responsible for donating any remaining balance. As part of the Legacies Alive team, runners will receive a Legacies Alive shirt to wear on race day. Fundraising amounts are as follows:
- MCM – $1,200
- MCM10K – $300
