Debbie is founder and president of America’s Mighty Warriors. America’s Mighty Warriors mission is to honor the sacrifices of our troops and the fallen and their families by providing programs that improve quality of life, resiliency, and recovery for warriors and their families. The organization works to inspire, encourage, and motivate those whose lives have been touched by war and loss. America’s Mighty Warriors programs include Gold Star respite, troop advocacy, healing treatments, and random acts of kindness.
Debbie’s son, Marc, was the first Navy SEAL to lose his life in Operation Iraqi Freedom.
How did you get connected with Legacies Alive?
I reached out to Mike Viti when he was walking across the US. I wasn’t in Phoenix when he went through but knowing that one of the other Legacies Alive team members, DJ Faldowski, was a SEAL who knew Marc it was an instant connection. Their vision is very similar to our Gold Star program so it was a natural partnership. They are “my boys” and we are both there for each other at a moment’s notice.

Legacies Alive helped sponsor one of the retreats we were doing for Gold Star families.
What has been your favorite time or event with Legacies Alive?
Every time that I am blessed to be with them.
What new and significant relationships have you built through Legacies Alive?
I have been blessed to meet several other Gold Star families through Legacies Alive.
